She's Gone Linux!



At the behest of our dear friend the "Brontok.C" worm, we've made the big switch on the thinkcentre (our main pc... the one not connected to the TV) over to linux. I'm happy, meg's happy, Microsoft isn't happy, but fuck them. There's nothing we were doing in XP that we can't do in ubuntu. I had used SUSE for a while, and then (see posts from over the summer) the old Gateway laptop crashed, and that ended that.

Obviously there's a small amount of trepidation when switching operating systems, but it's been completely smooth. I must insist that any and all windows users stop what they're doing, backup their personal files, wipe their hard drive and install this bad bitch of an operating system. Go. Now. Do it. I mean you, Robert.
