My Knew Knife

We found this knife in a box of art supplies at an estate sale today. I cleaned it up and spent about an hour sharpening it. (It was butter knife dull.) It's pretty sharp now, but certainly not razor. I'm going to work on it some more tomorrow. I'm going to start carrying it at work because I need to open boxes and packages all the time. I love that I have a job where it's perfectly acceptable to carry a large lock blade knife around in my pocket. I also love that I use my grandfather's old refrigeration repair thermometer to temp steamed milk. It's funny that at about the same age we both started using professionally thermometers for totally different things. I enjoy the circularity of it.
