Will Everyone Please Leave Tom Cruise Alone?
Look at this fucking list of fantastic movies. Pick a bad one that you've seen. You can't mother-fucker. (The only one of that I didn't like was Eyes Wide Shut, but that had nothing to do with TC.) I haven't seen five of them, so I can't pass judgment on those. He's a great actor and there's nothing you can say to make that not so.
So he's a scientologist, so what? It's no more absurd than believing in jesus, and lots of actors labor under that nonsense. So he stood on a chair and yelled, so what? Fuck Oprah anyway. So he criticized the psychiatric community and Brooke Sheilds, so what? Fuck Brooke Sheilds. Which one of them are you more loyal to? When was the last time that stuck-up, tall-ass, bushy-eyebrowed beeotch was in anything worth watching? That Katy Holmes shit? So what. Bo-ring. I saw Batman Begins. I loved it except that Joey Potter was a newspaper reporter. I'm not saying that I like that worthless slag Maggie Gyllenhall anymore, but they couldn't do any worse. "Boo-hoo, a second rate TV actress married one of the richest, most handsome, most famous men on the planet. She looks unhappy all the time, boo-hoo." Who cares? Nobody. Christians hate him because he presents an ideology that's the happy alternative to their bigoted chicanery. Scientology is the cool kids club that only the richest, most successful people in the world are a part of, so it's obviously inferior to all the other lies that people tell themselves, right?
He's one of the best actors of his generation. He's our Paul Newman and you know it. Tell me his performance in Magnolia didn't change your life. Try to say some shit... you can't. You know why? Because Tom Cruise is great and there's nothing you say to deny it.
