American Life Network



My new favorite channel is the American Life Network. It's "TV for Baby Boomers and Their Kids"... well, it doesn't get any more direct than that, does it? I'm a child of a baby boomer. They show LA Law, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, Newhart, The Bob Newhart Show, Mary Tyler Moore (which I don't really like) and... wait for it... WKRP IN CINCINATTI. I'm going to start watching all of them. You know how I love WKRP. They also have some pretty lame looking original series that mostly look like bad HGTV ripoffs.

Here's the best part, you know who owns it? THE MOONIES!!!!! Yup, how baby boomer is that? It's a tax shelter for the Unification Church. I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I know it makes my dad laugh. There's nothing more my parent's generation than being a moonie. I love the fuck out of it.

So anyway, Newhart, motherfuckers, Newhart. Check your local cable guide to see if you get it.
