Peanut Butter Latte
I made a peanut butter latte today. It was pretty tasty. I also made a peanut butter cup latte (obviously I just added some chocolate). I think the PB/PB Cup Steamers I made were probably better because the coffee and peanut butter together takes a little getting used to, but overall I think it turned out well.
Here's my recipe for peanut butter syrup:
One Part [Organic] Creamy Sweetened Peanut ButterFor the peanut butter cup latte, I used chocolate syrup (which I normally don't use) in a 1:2 with the peanut butter syrup.
Two Parts Simple Syrup
Add the syrup slowly to the peanut butter, stirring constantly. It's better if your syrup isn't super thick or the whole thing won't end up the right consistency. If it's still to thick when you're done, slowly add warm water (still stirring constantly) until it's right. It should be very, very smooth, and the constancy of white gravy. Thicker than Hershey's Syrup, thinner than hot fudge.
Use this for the PB Cup Latte:
1 oz PB SyrupTry it and let me know if you dig it.
.5 oz chocolate syrup
2 oz (two shots) espresso
6 oz foamed soymilk [or, if you're a bad person, whole milk]
