Marjoe (1972)



I just watched the Oscar winning 1972 documentary Marjoe, and I just loved it. It's about former child evangelist Marjoe Gortner, who as an adult got back into preaching for money. In the film he talks about the scam of pentecostal preachers, the tricks of the trade and how to get believers to shell out the most cash at the end of the revival. I'm amazed I've never seen this film before, and so glad that I did. You can Netflix this or download it from itunes. A must for any agnostic, atheist, skeptic or free thinker.
