New Bike, New Bike! Read all about it.

I bought a 1960 English made Western Flyer bike off craigslist today for $70. The guy's dad had ridden it around Penn State in the 60's. He had it stored for years, then the guy had it serviced and rode it a couple of years ago. It sat outside last winter so it was filthy. It cleaned up quite nicely. It has dynamo and front headlight, factory back rack with book clip, Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub, the tires are in great shape and it rides like a fucking dream. So there.
Ya'll Motherfuckers Said What?:
Hey Mason I was pondering this question after reading many of your blogs about bikes. What the hell is your pattern to defining a "sweet" bike? Like your new (used) bicycle it seems you like really vintage bikes with the large thin tires, do you have something against new bikes with gears and such?
Sorry this question probably seems a bit inane to the bicycle consumer pro status you have assumed.

In my defense I couldn't of had a more stigmatized upbringing against bicycles. My father is a used car salesman (yes he is a shmuck). And my grandfather pretty much wrote THE book on walking.
Here is the amazon link to that very book http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Complete-Guide-Exercise/dp/0345491041/ref=sr_1_1/103-5568335-9099821?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215652099&sr=1-1>

So there ya go my family of anti-bicyclers.
