Joe Biden is a Mass Transit Bad-Ass

Joe Biden has been riding the train home from DC to Delaware almost everyday since 1972. The dream of having someone in a place of power that actually believes in mass transportation makes me want to cry. What if you could actually take trains to places you needed to go in this country? What if trains were efficient, timely, and cost-effective? They are in Europe and they could be here to if anyone in power gave a shit. Joe does.

One more reason to vote Democrat this year.

Mass trans works well in the Bay Area though it is not perfect. BART is only ever late when a hobo throws himself in front of an oncoming train. CalTrain services so much of Silicon Valley that it can't afford to be disrupted.

Muni is a different story altogether. There is no set schedule and you can have three buses or trains coming in at 8, 11 and 55 minutes.

OKC keeps talking about improving mass transit but for some reason is focusing on the non-existent downtown area and Bricktown. I don't know if Dallas has the sprawl problem that OKC does but it is a major factor in keeping MetroTransit from being worth a damn.
